LDR726 Week 2: Interview a senior leader in your organization or another organization with which you are familiar.
Obtain a signed University of Phoenix Material: Interview Consent Form from the interviewee. Make sure that the faculty name and phone number fields are filled in on the form prior to obtaining consent.
Ask the following questions in your interview:
- How does a leader utilize teams to change organizational beliefs, values, and attitudes to move the organization forward?
- How would you design a team to align with the organizational beliefs, values, and attitudes?
- What is the leader’s point of view on diversity in teams today? What happens if there is no diversity in the team? Can it still be effective?
- Do you believe that every member of the team needs to assume a leadership role? Why or why not?
- Can there ever be too many leaders on a team?
Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper that includes the following:
- A summary of the interview.
- A discussion of the insights you gained from the interview.
- Whether you agree or disagree with the senior leader’s stance on the questions you asked during the interview. Justify your position.
Reflect on the ideas that the senior leader presented during the interview. Do these ideas make you want to change anything about the team evaluation tool you developed in Week 1? If so, why?
Support your model using germinal and current research on the concept of teams.
Include at least five scholarly references in your paper.
Format the paper consistent with APA guidelines.
