As long as I work my full 40 hours each week, my paycheck is pretty consistent on what it is going to be. I get paid bi-weekly and I think that also helps in my budgeting. I use manual process when it comes to managing my pay check. I write down all my bills that need to be paid in that pay period. I go through and make sure that I have enough left over for gas for the next two weeks. I am literally living pay check to paycheck right now.
I honestly do not have a personal savings rate right now. As I explained above, I am living pay check to pay check right now. I make just enough to get me by. I have debt that I have to pay off, so whatever “Extra” I have out of my checks, go to my debt bills. I am working on raising my credit so I can buy a house in the next few years. I did just pay off a big chunk of my debt, so once it is all paid off, I will have to look into what my personal savings rate can be. And that is something that I am looking forward to. I can not wait to be able to actually have a savings. I cant wait to be able to have a purpose, having this debt is holding me back from even being able to start my goals.
